URGENT: BPMIGAS cancels installment of top officials

BPMIGAS? Chairman R. Priyono cancelled on Thursday the installment of several top officials for the agency following protests from Coordinating Minister of Economy Hatta Radjasa, sources said.

Priyono planned to install Y. Widjanarko as Vice Chairman, Gerhard Rumenggar as General Affairs Deputy, I Gde Pradnyana as Operational Deputy, Aussie Gautama as Planning Deputy and Widhyawan Prawiraatmadja as Board Secretary, according to the sources.

The sources said Hatta disapproved of Priyono?s decision to appoint the officials because the latter had yet to consult with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

?He has been summoned to Hatta?s office,? the source said.
