UT aims to double sales of Scania trucks, buses

IDX-listed heavy equipment and mining firm PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) said it aims to double the sales of Scania trucks and buses this year particularly amid improving outlook of the country?s mining sector.

?Sales target for Scania this year is around 700-800 units,? said Loudy Irwanto Ellias, Director of UT, on Thursday on the sidelines of Scania Driver Competition event in Jakarta.

Loudy said that sales of Scania trucks and buses totaled around 350 units last year.

Of this year?s sales target, about 450 units of trucks will be sold to the mining sector, 150 units of buses to Trans Jakarta, and the remainders for other markets, Loudy said.
