UT coal production reaches 3.9 MT as of November

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Tuesday that coal production during November period reached 457,000 tonnes from its two coal mines PT Prima Multi Mineral (PMM), formerly PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ) and PT Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA).

Of the total 457,000 tonnes, PMM contributed 347,000 tonnes, and the remaining 110,000 tonnes came from TTA mine.

TTA mine started first coal production at the end of 2010.

As of November, cumulative coal production from UT reached 3.98 million tonnes, higher compared to the same period last year of 2.63 million tonnes.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama) produced 7.5 million tonnes in November, up from 6.6 million in the same period of last year. Pama?s overburden also increased to 64.9 million BCM from 54.6 million bcm in November 2010.

UT sold a total of 7,854 units of Komatsu heavy equipment as of November of the year, jump from 5,091 units in the same period of last year. Of the 7,854 units sold as of November, 5,301 units were sold to the mining sector. (romel)
