UT coal sales over 1.5MT as of March

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Friday that coal sales during March period reached 408,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) contributing 208,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 200,000 tons.

TTA mine started first coal production at the end of 2010.

As of March, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 1.53 million tons, substantially increased compared to the same period in 2011 of 1.00 million tons.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 7.8 million tons in March, up from 6.7 million tons in the same month of 2011. Pama?s overburden also increased to 71.9 million bcm compared to 56.9 million bcm in March 2011.

UT sold a total of 2,207 units of Komatsu heavy equipment for the quarter ending March of the year, the same as 2,207 units in the same period of last year. Of the 2,207 units sold as of March, 1,384 units were sold to the mining sector
