UT coal sales over 3.5MT as of July

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Thursday that coal sales during July period reached 483,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) contributing 223,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 260,000 tons.

TTA mine started first coal production at the end of 2011.

As of July, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 3.6 million tons, substantially increased compared to the same period in 2011 of 2.6 million tons.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.3 million tons in July, up from 8.0 million tons in the same month of 2011. Pama?s overburden was 73.8 million bcm compared to 77.7 million bcm in July 2011.

UT sold a total of 4.633 units of Komatsu heavy equipment for the quarter ending July of the year, slightly lower than 5.061 units in the same period of last year.
