UT coal sales over 4.2MT as of August

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Wednesday that coal sales during August period reached 615,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) contributing 326,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 289,000 tons.

TTA mine started first coal production at the end of 2011.

As of August, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 4.2 million tons, substantially increased compared to 3.0 million tons for the same period in 2011.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 7.6 million tons in August, unchanged from 7.6 million tons in the same month of 2011. Pama?s overburden was 73.1 million bcm compared to 74.3 million bcm in August 2011.

UT sold a total of 5.035 units of Komatsu heavy equipment for the quarter ending August of the year, substantially lower than 5.650 units in the same period of last year.
