UT coal sales over 4.6MT as of September

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Wednesday that coal sales during September period reached 468,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) contributing 185,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 283,000 tons.

TTA mine started first coal production at the end of 2011.

As of September, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 4.6 million tons, substantially increased compared to 3.2 million tons for the same period in 2011.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.5 million tons in September, up from 7.8 million tons in the same month of 2011. Pama?s overburden was 82.0 million bcm compared to 70.1 million bcm in September 2011.

UT sold a total of 5.455 units of Komatsu heavy equipment for the quarter ending September of the year, substantially lower than 6.396 units in the same period of last year.
