UT coal sales over 4.9MT as of October

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Tuesday that coal sales during October period reached 372,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) contributing 204,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 168,000 tons.

TTA mine started first coal production at the end of 2011.

As of October, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 4.9 million tons, substantially increased compared to 3.6 million tons for the same period in 2011.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.4 million tons in October, unchanged from 8.2 million tons in the same month of 2011. Pama?s overburden was 81.3 million bcm compared to 78.1 million bcm in October 2011.

UT sold a total of 5.704 units of Komatsu heavy equipment for the quarter ending October of the year, substantially lower than 7.097 units in the same period of last year.
