UT coal sales over 5.3MT as of November

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Thursday that coal sales during November period reached 564,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) which contributed 219,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 192,000 tons.

TTA mine started its first coal production at the end of 2011.

As of November, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 5.3 million tons, substantially increased compared to 3.9 million tons for the same period in 2011.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.6 million tons in November, up from 7.5 million tons in the same period of 2011. Pama?s overburden removal was 66.2 million bcm compared to 66.8 million bcm up to November in 2011.

UT sold a total of 5.993 units of Komatsu heavy equipment up to the quarter ending November of the year, substantially lower than 7.854 units in the same period of last year.
