UT coal sales over 5.6MT as of December

Indonesia-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Wednesday that coal sales during December period reached 270,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) which contributed 192,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 78,000 tons.

TTA mine started its first coal production at the end of 2011.

As of December, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 5.6 million tons, substantially increased compared to 4.5 million tons for the same period in 2011.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.6 million tons in December, up from 7.6 million tons in the same period of 2011. Pama?s overburden removal was 68.3 million bcm compared to 63 million bcm up to December in 2011.

UT sold a total of 6.202 units of Komatsu heavy equipment up to the quarter ending December of the year, substantially lower than 8.467units in the same period of last year.
