Central Kalimantan coal miner PT Telen Orbit Prima (TOP), an indirect coal subsidiary of IDX-listed heavy equipment and mining firm PT United Tractors Tbk, expected a relatively small sales volume this year of around 300,000 tons, compared to full-year production target of 1 million tons.

?Until end of this year, sales volume will probably be around 300,000 tons,? said Frans Kesuma, UT Director, to Petromindo.com on Tuesday.

He said that meager sales volume was because the coal miner has ?to adjust to the river current condition.? He did not provide further details.

UT through subsidiary PT Pama Persada owns TOP, which resumed coal production in June of this year at its mine in Kapuas Regency after having been suspended since 2015 due to the weak oil price environment.
