IDX-listed heavy equipment and mining firm PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) hopes its 2x15 MW coal-fired power plant in Central Kalimantan to start operation in the fourth quarter (Q4) of this year.

?Hopefully, in the fourth quarter (of this year) it can start operation,? said UT President Director Gidion Hasan to Petromindo.com on Friday.

UT through subsidiary PT Energia Persada Nusantara (EPN) is developing the power plant to support the operation of its coal mining subsidiary PT Asmin Bara Bronang in Central Kalimantan. Only about half of the electricity output will be sold to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
