UT reports 2008 coal sales slightly increase

South Kalimantan coal mining PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ), a unit of IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor and coal miner PT United Tractors (UT), sold 266,000 tons of coal in December 2008, down from 399,000 tons in the same month of 2007.

Compared to the previous month, DEJ's coal sales also down from 322,000 tons, UT said in a statement on Tuesday.

DEJ's sales totalled 3.67 million tons in 2008, slightly increasing from 3.58 million tons in 2007

DEJ's coal is sold to Noble Group and Glencore AG under terms contract. (denny)
