South Kalimantan coal mining PT Dasa Eka Jasatama (DEJ), a unit of IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor and coal miner PT United Tractors (UT), sold 272,000 tons of coal in August this year, down from 378,000 tons in the same month last year and 291,000 tonnes in July this year.
UT Investor Relations Ari Setiyawan told Petormindo.Com that the decrease in sales was due to maintenance program at the company?s loading facilities.
Ari said the maintenance will be completed in this month, and DEJ is expected to get back to installed capacity of 330,000 tonnes per month October onward.
DEJ's cumulative sales this year totaled 2.53 million tons as of August.
DEJ's coal product is sold to Noble Group and Glencore AG through UT's coal British Virgin Island-based trading arm Scenic Worldwide Ltd. under term contracts. (denny)
