UT reports increased coal sales from S. Kalimantan mine

IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported on Thursday that coal sales from the mine owned by its subsidiary PT Dasa Eka Jastama (DEJ) in South South Kalimantan reached 195,000 tons in April.
The company sold 261,000 tons of coal in March, bringing its 2010 cumulative sale to 939,000 tons.
Compared to the same period of last year, the company?s coal sale is slightly higher from 172,000 tons.
UT also reported that in April its mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama) produced 6.1 million tons of coal for its clients, 27 % up compared to the same period of last year.
Pama removed 51.3 million bcm of overburden for clients in April versus 45.7 million bcm in the same period last year. (denny)
