UT reports increased coal sales from S. Kalimantan mine

IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported on Friday that coal sales from the mine owned by its subsidiary PT Dasa Eka Jastama (DEJ) in South Kalimantan reached 170,000 tons in June.

The company sold 96,000 tons of coal in May, bringing its 2010 cumulative sale to 1.205 million tons.

Compared to the same period of last year, the company?s coal sale is higher from 135,000 tons.

UT also reported that in June its mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama) produced 6.3 million tons of coal for its clients, increase compared to the same period of last year at 5.6 million tons.

Pama removed 53.8 million bcm of overburden for clients in June versus 54.1 million bcm in the same period last year. (denny)
