UT reports increased coal sales in March

IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported on Thursday that coal sales from the mine owned by its subsidiary PT Dasa Eka Jastama in South South Kalimantan reached 261,000 tons in March.

The company sold 251,000 tons of coal in February, bringing its 2010 cumulative sale to 744,000 tons.

Compared to the same period of last year, the company?s coal sale is also slightly higher from 254,000 tons.

UT also reported that in March its mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 6.3 million tons of coal for its clients, similar with February?s production.

Pama removed 54.4 million bcm of overburden for clients in March versus 53.2 million bcm in February. (denny)
