UT reports lower coal sales volume in November

IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk, which also owns coal mines, reported Friday that coal sales volume in November reached 345,000 tons from its four coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM), Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) and PT Duta Nurcahya (DN), a 16 percent decline from 411,000 tons in the same month of last year.
The PMM and Asmin concessions, which are located in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, respectively, accounted for a combined 175,000 tons of the coal sales volume, while TTA and DN 170,000 tons. TTA and DN mines, are located in Central Kalimantan. Asmin and DN started its first coal production at the end of 2013.
UT?s total coal output in the first eleven months of this year reached 3,618,000 tons, substantially down compared to 5,310,000 tons in the same period in 2012.
Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.6 million tons in November, the same volume with the same period of 2012. Pama?s overburden removal was 67.0 million bcm, down compared to 71.5 million bcm in November 2012.
UT sold a total of 3,952 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in November, substantially lower than 5,993 units in the same period of last year. Of the 3,952 units sold in November, 1,699 units were sold to the mining sector.
