UT?s April coal sales volume drops 120%

IDX-listed heavy equipment company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in April of this year reached 298,000 tons, or a 120 percent drop compared to 657,000 tons in the same month of last year.

UT said in a recent report that its total coal output in the first four months of this year down by 14 percent to 2,011,000 tons compared to 2,305,000 tons in the same period in 2014.

The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.5 million tons of coal in April, down compared to 9.4 million tons in the same month of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 63.1 million bcm, down compared to 67.0 million bcm in April 2014.

UT sold a total of 966 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in April, down from 1,577 units in the same period of last year. Of the 966 units sold in April, 328 units were sold to the mining sector.
