UT?s August coal sales volume increases 34%

IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in August of this year reached 493,000 tons, or a 34 percent increase compared to 366,000 tons in the same month of last year.
UT said in a statement recently that its total coal output in the first seven months of this year was down by 16 percent to 3,686,000 tons compared to 4,425,000 tons in the same period in 2014.
The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan, and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 10.6 million tons of coal in August, up compared to 9.8million tons in the same month of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 75.7million bcm, up compared to 70.7 million bcm in august 2014.
UT sold a total of 1,687 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in August, down from 2,750 units in the same period of last year. Of the 1,687units sold in August, 506 units were sold to the mining sector.
