UT's coal unit revises downwards 2010 coal output target

Indonesia-listed heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) has lowered sales target for this year of coal from the mine owned by its subsidiary PT Dasa Eka Jastama (DEJ) in South Kalimantan to 2.5 million tons from the initial target of 3 million tons.

UT's investor relation officer Ari Setiyawan told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that the target had been revised downwards due to delays of some shipment amid unfavorable weather condition.

In May, DEJ sold only 96,000 tons of coal, compared to 166,000 tons in the same period of last year and 195,000 tons in the previous month, he said.

As of May, DEJ's 2010 cumulative sale totalled 1.035 million tons. (denny)
