UT?s coal unit sold 1.4MT of coal in January-July 2010

IDX-listed heavy equipment distributor PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported on Tuesday that coal sales from the mine owned by its subsidiary PT Dasa Eka Jastama (DEJ) in South Kalimantan reached 219,000 tons in July.

The company sold 170,000 tons of coal in June, bringing its 2010 cumulative sale to 1.424 million tons (MT).

Compared to the same period of last year, the company?s coal sale is slightly lower from 233,000 tons.

UT also reported that in July its mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara (Pama) produced 6.3 million tons of coal for its clients, increase compared to the same period of last year at 6.0 million tons.

Pama removed 53.7 million bcm of overburden for clients in July versus 52.8 million bcm in the same period of last year. (denny)
