UT?s February coal sales volume jumps 34%

IDX-listed heavy equipment company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) has recently reported that coal sales volume in February of this year reached 455,000 tons, or a 34 percent jump compared to 339,000 tons in the same month of last year.

UT?s total coal output in the first two months of this year soared by 0.5 percent to 1,229,000 tons compared to 1,223,000 tons in the same period in 2014.

The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.2 million tons of coal in February, down compared to 9.3 million tons in the same month of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 56.6 million bcm, down compared to 69.6 million bcm in February 2014.

UT sold a total of 519 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in February, down from 877 units in the same period of last year. Of the 519 units sold in February, 176 units were sold to the mining sector.
