UT?s January coal sales volume down 1.6%

IDX-listed heavy equipment company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) has recently reported that coal sales volume as of January of this year reached 810,000 tons, or a 1.6 percent lower compared to 824,000 tons in the same period of last year.

The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 7.7 million tons of coal in January, down compared to 8.8 million tons in the same period of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 51.0 million bcm, down compared to 63.0 million bcm in January 2014.

UT sold a total of 244 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in January, down from 503 units in the same period of last year. Of the 244 units sold in January, 80 units were sold to the mining sector.
