UT?s January coal sales volume drops 27%

IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in January of this year reached 564,000 tons, or a 27 percent drop compared to 774,000 tons in the same month of last year.
The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan, and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.2 million tons of coal in January, down compared to 7.9 million tons in the same month of 2015. Pama?s overburden removal was 52.7million bcm, down compared to 52.3 million bcm in January 2015.
UT sold a total of 182 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in January, down from 244 units in the same period of last year. Of the 182 units sold in January, 34 units were sold to the mining sector.
