UT?s January coal sales volume jumps 74%

IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in January of this year reached 985,000 tons, or a 74 percent jump compared to 564,000 tons in the same month of last year.

The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan, and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.8 million tons of coal in January, up compared to 8.2 million tons in the same month of 2016. Pama?s overburden removal was 55.6million bcm, up compared to 53.1 million bcm in January 2016.

UT sold a total of 270 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in January this year, up from 182 units in the same period of last year. Of the 270 units sold in January, 99 units were sold to the mining sector.
