UT?s July coal sales volume drops 13%

IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT UnitedTractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in July of this year reached 381,000 tons, or a 13 percent drop compared to 441,000 tons in the same month of last year.

UT said in a statement recently that its total coal output inthe first seven months of this year down by 21 percent to 3,193,000 tons compared to 3,878,000 tons in the same period in 2014.

The company operates four coal mines including Prima MultiMineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 9.8 million tons of coal in July, up compared to 8.5 million tons in the same month of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 70.2 million bcm,down compared to 60.4 million bcm in July 2014.

UT sold a total of 1,512 units of Komatsu heavy equipment inJuly, down from 2,506 units in the same period of last year. Of the 1,512 unitssold in July, 468 units were sold to the mining sector.
