UT?s March coal sales volume increases 13%

IDX-listed heavy equipment company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in March of this year reached 483,000 tons, or a 13 percent increase compared to 426,000 tons in the same month of last year.
UT said in a recent report that its total coal output in the first three months of this year rose by 3 percent to 1,713,000 tons compared to 1,649,000 tons in the same period in 2014.
The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 9.0 million tons of coal in March, down compared to 9.6 million tons in the same month of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 63.7 million bcm, down compared to 71.9 million bcm in March 2014.
UT sold a total of 763 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in March, down from 1,211 units in the same period of last year. Of the 763 units sold in March, 251 units were sold to the mining sector.
