UT?s May coal sales volume drops 120%

IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in May of this year reached 281,000 tons, or a 120 percent drop compared to 619,000 tons in the same month of last year.
UT said in a recent report that its total coal output in the first five months of this year down by 27 percent to 2,292,000 tons compared to 2,925,000 tons in the same period in 2014.
The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 9.1 million tons of coal in May, down compared to 9.9 million tons in the same month of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 68.4 million bcm, up compared to 66.7 million bcm in May 2014.
UT sold a total of 1,173 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in May, down from 1,901 units in the same period of last year. Of the 1,173 units sold in May, 387 units were sold to the mining sector.
