UT?s May coal sales volume drops 90%

IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported recently that coal sales volume in May of this year reached 603,000 tons, or a 90 percent drop compared to 1,149,000 tons in the same month of last year.
The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan, and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 9.5 million tons of coal in May, down compared to 8.8 million tons in the same month of 2016. Pama?s overburden removal was 65.4 million bcm, down compared to 58.9 million bcm in May 2016.
UT sold a total of 1,488 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in May this year, up from 868 units in the same period of last year. Of the 1,488 units sold in May, 744 units were sold to the mining sector.
