UT?s November coal sales volume down 12%

IDX-listed heavy equipment company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) has recently reported that coal sales volume as of November of this year reached 303,000 tons, or a 12 percent drop compared to 345,000 tons in the same 11-month period of last year.

The coals were produced from its four mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM), Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN).

The PMM and Asmin concessions, which are located in South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, accounted for a combined 189,000 tons of the coal sales volume, while TTA and DN 114,000 tons. TTA and DN mines, are located in Central Kalimantan. Asmin and DN started its first coal production at the end of 2013.

UT?s total coal output in the first 11 months of this year soared by 44 percent to 5,210,000 tons compared to 3,606,000 tons in the same period in 2013.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 9.9 million tons of coal in November, up compared to 9.1 million tons in the same period of 2013. Pama?s overburden removal was 64.6 million bcm, down compared to 67.6 million bcm in October 2013.

UT sold a total of 3,403 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in November, down from 3,952 units in the same period of last year. Of the 3,403 units sold in November, 1,191 units were sold to the mining sector.
