UT?s reports increased coal sales in Feb

Heavy equipment firm PT United Tractors (UT) said on Friday its South Kalimantan coal miner PT Dasa Eka Jasatama sold a total of 633,000 tonnes of coal in February, up from 483,000 tonnes in the same period of last year.

UT has also subsidiaries involved in providing mining contracting service and selling heavy equipment.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta-listed firm said in a statement that its mining contractor subsidiary, PT Pamapersada, produced a total of 12.7 million tonnes of coal in February, up from 12.3 million tonnes in the same period of last year. Its overburden production rose to 111.1 million bcm, from 99.5 million bcm.

The firm sold a total of 1,418 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in the second months of the year, up from 733 units in the same period of last year. (kanti)
