UT?s reports increased coal sales in Jan

Heavy equipment firm PT United Tractors (UT) said on Monday its South Kalimantan coal miner PT Dasa Eka Jasatama sold a total of 330,000 tonnes of coal in one month period until January this year, up from 232,000 tonnes in the same period of last year.
UT has also subsidiries involved in providing mining contracting service and selling heavy equipment.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta-listed firm said in a statement that its mining contractor subsidiary, PT Pamapersada, produced a total of 6.3 million tonnes of coal in January, up from 6.1 million tonnes in the same period of last year. Its overburden production rose to 55.4 million bcm, from 46.3million bcm.
The firm sold a total of 731 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in the first months of the year, up from 339 units in the same period of last year. (kanti)
