UT?s reports increased coal sales in June

IDX-listed heavy-equipment distributor and coal mining firm PT United Tractors (UT) Tbk reported Tuesday that coal sales during June period reached 311,000 tons from its two coal mines, Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) which contributed 50,000 tons, and Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA) 261,000 tons.

TTA mine started its first coal production at the end of 2011.

As of June, cumulative coal sales for the quarter reached 2,169,000 tons, substantially down compared to 3,046,000 tons for the same period in 2012.

Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 9.6 million tons in June, up compared to 7.5 million tons in the same period of 2012. Pama?s overburden removal was 76.4 million bcm, up compared to 70.1 million bcm in June 2012.

UT sold a total of 2,452 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in June last month, substantially lower than 4,231 units in the same period of last year. Of the 2,452 units sold in June, 1275 units were sold to the mining sector.
