UT?s September coal sales volume drops 27%

IDX-listed heavy equipment and coal mining company PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) reported that coal sales volume in September of this year reached 260,000 tons, or a 27 percent drop compared to 358,000 tons in the same month of last year.
UT said in a statement recently that its total coal output in the first nine months of this year was down by 12 percent to 3,946,000 tons from 4,514,000 tons in the same period in 2014.
The company operates four coal mines including Prima Multi Mineral (PMM) in South Kalimantan, and Asmin, Tuah Turangga Agung (TTA), and Duta Nurcahya (DN) located in Central Kalimantan.
Meanwhile, UT?s mining contractor unit PT Pamapersada Nusantara produced 8.9 million tons of coal in September, down compared to 10.4million tons in the same month of 2014. Pama?s overburden removal was 72.7million bcm, down compared to 76.1 million bcm in September. 2014.
UT sold a total of 1,799 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in September, down from 2,982 units in the same period of last year. Of the 1,799 units sold in September, 521 units were sold to the mining sector.
