UTEC opens office in Indonesia

British firm UTEC Survey, one of the world?s largest independent survey companies announced on Wednesday the opening of a new office in Jakarta.

UTEC Survey?s new entity ? PT UTEC Survey Indonesia ? will focus on providing quality survey support to challenging developments in the expanding Indonesia deep water oil and gas sector.

The decision to open an office in the region comes in response to strong demand from operators and subsea contractors requiring specialized international expertise coupled with domestic resources. PT UTEC Survey Indonesia services include subsea positioning, geophysical (AUV), geotechnical consulting, dimensional control and 3D laser scanning.

Commenting on the opening of the new office, UTEC Survey?s MD for East Asia and Australia Sean Fowler (right) said: ?Having listened to the needs of our clients, we are pleased announce the opening of this new office which significantly increases our operational presence in the region.?

UTEC provides a wide range of survey services including offshore positioning and construction support, geophysical and AUV surveys, geotechnical sampling and consulting services to the oil, gas and energy industries. In addition UTEC offers dimensional control surveys, laser scanning, 3D modeling and the iSITE asset management software.
