Uzbekcoal to invest in South Sumatra

Uzbekistan's mining company JSPC Uzbekcoal will invest in Indonesia for the exploitation of coal deposits at Musi Banyuasin in South Sumatra province, the Koran Tempo newspaper reported in its Thursday edition.

JSPC has signed an agreement with the local mining firm PT Petro Muba in this regard.

The region has around 3.5 billion tons of coal deposits, according to the paper.(*)
