Vale has new commissioner

The shareholders of PT Vale Indonesia Tbk approved during the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on Monday the appointment of Andrea Marques De Almeida as new commissioner fill in the vacant position left by Peter Poppinga.
The current composition of the company?s Board of Commissioners is as follow:

Almeida is the Finance Director of Base Metals since June 2015, responsible for the overall financial affairs of Vale Base Metals.
Previously she served as the Corporate Risk Management Department Director of Vale SA since 2010 and oversaw the risk management function for the whole company. Since May 2012 she is concurrently part of the Board of Directors of Steamship Mutual P&I club, analyzing and approving the underwriting and risk management strategies of the Club.
She holds a degree in Production Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, an MBA in finance from IBMEC ? Rio de Janeiro and MBA in Management from Universidade do Estado de S?o Paulo. She also went to Wharton Executive Education and Massachusetts Institute of Technology ? Sloan School of Management.
