Vale Indonesia increases shipment to Japan

IDX-listed integrated nickel mining company PT Vale Indonesia Tbk will increase shipment of its nickel in matte production to Japan this year to 82,500 tons from about 79,000 tons last year.
News portal Detik.com quoted PT Vale Senior Manager for Mines and Exploration Basri Kambatu as saying Wednesday that the company exports its output from Sorowako mines in South Sulawesi mainly to Japan under long-term contract.
The nickel in matte output has average nickel content of 78 percent, to be further refined in Japan, he added. (*)
