Vale obtains forestry permit for exploration in Sorowako mine

IDX-listed integrated nickel mining company PT Vale Indonesia Tbk said it has recently obtained the so-called IPPKH forestry permit to carry out exploration activities at its mine in Sorowako, Central Sulawesi.
Vale Indonesia President Director Nico Kanter said last week that the borrow and use permit of forest (IPPKH) area was issued on June 14 to allow the company to carry out drilling program at the mine.
He added that the company hopes to eventually obtain the IPPKH permit for production and the environmental impact assessment approval.
