Friday, April 28 2000 - 07:30 AM WIB
Jakarta - PT. Mincom Indoservices (PTMI) today announced that VICO Indonesia has chosen to implement its Indonesian MIMS Payroll Solution, a system specially customized for Indonesia by Mitrais, a Bali-based software development factory.
VICO Indonesia is the first user of PTMI's Indonesian Payroll Solution in Indonesia. The system is based on MIMS (Mincom's Information Management System), developed by Mincom Limited and recognised by the Gartner Group as the world's leading Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solution. It has been tailored to Indonesian requirements by Mitrais.
"VICO Indonesia's Payroll process is a complicated one, made difficult by calculations such as income tax where part is absorbed by employees and the rest by the company and by retroactive compensation payments to employee." said B. Suprijadi, Treasurer of VICO Indonesia. "As a result, we identified a need for a system designed and developed to meet the specific requirements of a capital intensive Indonesian operation such as VICO Indonesia."
PTMI's Indonesian Payroll Solution offers extensive functionality plus Indonesian-specific features including
* Tax calculations that recognize employee residential status, Indonesian specific data such rebates and individual taxation requirements;
* Denomination in Indonesian Rupiah (the system can handle denominations of up to 13 digits);
* Statutory Reporting Features covering requirements such as Jamsostek and SPT; and
* Recognition of Salary Grades
PTMI's Payroll System was selected through a direct selection tender based
on administrative, technical and commercial evaluation.
"It surpasses the others in term of overall technical excellence and competitive pricing," said Agus Wicaksono, IS Applications Section Head, VICO Indonesia. "PTMI's strong local presence and commitment to the Indonesian market is a definite plus in making our choice," he added. "Not only has the system been customized to Indonesian requirements to ensure a timely and accurate payroll but PTMI offers a strong local support base, conveniently located near our operations."
In addition to its Indonesia-specific features, PTMI's Payroll System offers comprehensive functionality via the base MIMS product. This includes multiple payment frequencies, multiple payment/deduction methods, table driven taxation scales, exception-based data entry, complex award provisions, full 'what if' capacity, provision for off-cycle pays, higher duties/step up, retrospective/retroactive calculations and automated termination processing.
VICO Indonesia is PTMI's fifth client from the oil and gas industry in Indonesia, joining Unocal Oil and Gas and the Santa Fe Energy Resources Companies (users of the company's integrated Enterprise Solutions) and Maxus and Mobil Oil (Payroll-related clients).
"We look forward to building our relationship with VICO Indonesia," said Roy Widjaja, CEO, PTMI. "As VICO's choice of our Payroll Solution shows, we have the solutions Indonesian oil and gas operations need to achieve vital operational efficiencies in the 21st century."
The project will commence in May 2000 and is scheduled for completion in late 2000.
