VICO pays Rp 150m land compensation

American oil and gas company Vico Indonesia, which operates oil and gas in East Kalimantan, paid on Friday six citizens of the Samboja district Rp 150 million (US$1=Rp 10,905) in compensations for their land appropriated by the company for its oil well projects, according to local daily Kaltim Post.
The land compensations were paid during a ceremony attended among others by the Semboja district head and local police head. (*)
