Vico, Total sponsors East Kalimantan tourism development

Oil and gas companies PT Vico Indonesia and PT Total Indonesia have sponsored the Kutai Kertanegara administration plans to develop a tourist object on the Kumala Tenggarong Island in East Kalimantan, the local Kaltim Post daily said.

The paper did not say the amount of sponsorship provided by the two companies, but it said that the sponsorship was directed to establish local cultural houses and docks facility.

The paper said that the local administration was expediting the development of the tourism spot, and expect it to be completed before September.

Tourists from outside East Kalimantan were expected to come to the island. (*)
