Villagers demand compensation from ExxonMobil

Around 350 villagers living nearby oil and gas firm ExxonMobil's operation in North Aceh regency, Aceh province, demanded the company to pay compensation for the noise pollution created by its machinery, the Bisnis Indonesia daily reported.
The paper quoted spokesman for the protesting villagers Abbas Gani as saying that the company had also earlier promised the villagers a compensation.(*)
