Villagers receive Rp 100 million from Banpu Indominco

Coal mining company Banpu Indominco has provided financial assistance worth about Rp 100 million (US$1=Rp 9,000) for the construction of a village office in Sukadamai village of the East Kutai regency, East Kalimantan, Kaltim Post reported on Tuesday.
Head of the Sukadamai village, Syamsuddin, said that the construction of the village office which would be soon inaugurated by the East Kutai regent was also partly financed by the local government's budget.
In addition to the financial assistance for the village office, Banpu Indonesia has also promised to build an artesian well for the villagers, Syamsuddin added. (*)
