Vietnamese firm VinFast said it will extend its free electric vehicle charging program in Indonesia, India and the Philippines until March 31, 2029, as part of efforts to accelerate EV adoption in key Asian markets.
Under the policy, VinFast customers will be able to access free charging at stations operated by V-Green, covering both existing owners and new buyers, including private users and ride-hailing drivers.
Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Global Sales Duong Thi Thu Trang said the extension builds on strong customer uptake of the initial program.
“Extending this policy for another three years is the next step in our strategy to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles,” Trang said in a statement.
The program is designed to lower operating costs for EV users and reduce reliance on gasoline, the company said.

Separately, VinFast’s parent Vingroup has launched a limited-time “Trade Gas for Electric” campaign offering discounts of 3% on electric cars and 5% on electric scooters for customers switching from internal combustion vehicles.
The company is also expanding its charging network across its operating markets, while offering additional incentives such as battery subscription schemes, resale value guarantees and extended warranties.
VinFast said the initiatives are part of a broader strategy to build an integrated EV ecosystem and support the transition to electric mobility in Asia.
