Vista Gold hopes to commence FS on S. Sulawesi gold project 2007

Colorado-based miner Vista Gold Corp. said on Wednesday it expected to commence feasibility study for commercial development of its Awak Mas gold project in the southern part of Sulawesi.
The company said that based on subsequent field work and a re-interpretation of the ore zones, the company is currently undertaking a new resource estimate.
Previous independent resource estimate in 2004 showed that the project has measured resources of 16,865,000 short tons at a grade of 0.034 ounces per ton containing 583,000 gold ounces, indicated resources of 35,750,000 short tons at a grade of 0.030 ounces per ton containing 1,072,000 gold ounces and inferred resources of 8,250,000 short tons at a grade of 0.032 ounces per ton containing 259,000 gold ounces.
