Vitol to ship 6Mt of coal from Indonesia

One of the world's largest independent energy trading firm Vitol, through its Singapore-based trading arm Vitol Asia Pte Ltd will ship 6 million tonnes (Mt) of thermal coal from Indonesia this year, up from last year?s shipment of 5 Mt, the company?s official told Petromindo.Com on Wednesday.
The official said that of the total 6 Mt of coal it would buy this year, around 3 Mt will be sourced from Indonesia-listed coal miner PT Bayan Resources and 1.5 Mt from East Kalimantan coal miner PT Adimitra Baratama Nusantara.
Vitol has a long-term contract with both firms.
The remaining of coal will be sourced from several coal mines in Kalimantan, the official said. (denny)
