PT Voksel Electric Tbk has targeted to increase its total sales next year (2017) by around 20 percent to Rp 2.4 trillion.

Voksel?s Director Yogiawan said on Friday that his company expected to raise its sales from the government?s projects of power developments. ?We hope to increase our total sales of power cables from the development of the government?s power projects,? he said.

He pointed out that in order to realize its sales target, his company will maximize production in its plant in Cileungsi, West Java, which is still around 60-70 percent of its installed production capacity. ?To increase its utility by 30 percent next year, we?ll have to renew its machines,? he said.

Voksel produces various kinds of cable. It produces alluminium cable around 27,600 tons per year, copper cable at 12.000 tons per year, and fiber optic cable at 1.8 million kilometer per year.

Beside targeting the power plants projects, Voksel is also eyeing the telecommunication projects to increase its cable sales. ?We also target foreign markets. This year our export growth so far is 10-20 percent,? said Yogiawan.

He said that as of the third quarter this year, the sales of Voksel amounted to Rp1.46 trillion.

Voksel?s power cables are mostly sold to PLN (persero), state-owned companies and local and interatinal contractors.
