W. Sumatra offers Norway firm to invest in hydro power project

The West Sumatra provincial administration has offered SN Power, a Norwegian firm, to invest in hydro power projects in the province.

West Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno said on Friday that the administration made the offer during talks with visiting senior officials of SN Power, and that the firm has expressed its interest and promised to make follow-up.

Irwan said that the local administration offered SN Power to develop up to 160 MW capacity of hydro power plant in Pasaman, and promised to support the company in realizing the project including in terms of getting the required permits.
